Friday Find: Disney Garden Spinners

A couple week ago I was at at the 2017 Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival. Besides some beautiful Disney themed topiary and food kiosks, there are also an assortment of third-party vendors that have been invited to sell their flower and garden related products. One of the booths I discovered offered these fun garden spinners.

disneydaze.com

As you can see from the photo, these are items are popular as there had already been a lot sold through the day and this is what they had left by late afternoon. The vendor booth was hosted by a company named, EYCATCHERS. There were lots of different sizes, colors, and designs. I bought these large spinners (about $45) for my garden and one is a gift.

disneydaze.com

I also found this small one that I am going to hang somewhere in my house. I am trying out different places and seeing what it looks like during different parts of the day. When i have the windows open or the house fan, it does spin indoors.

disneydaze.com

I actually had them shipped to my house after I bought them. They arrived in great condition as they ship flat. So, if you have a chance to visit the festival, check out this particular booth. They make great presents for you favorite Disney fan. They are perfect Disney home decor and it will be hard to decide which one. You can have more than one, or two, or three, right? I kind of wish I had had time to go back to get a couple more.

They are not available on the Shop Parks App. I did notice that on the vendor website, EYCATCHER, you can see some options and contact them about purchasing your own Disney spinner. They also do have an actual location at DISNEY SPRINGS so you can get yours there if visit.

Shop Disney: I Am Excited About These 2 New Disney Books

I was perusing Amazon for some Disney books and came upon these two new Disney books that are due to be released this year. These are both being published by Disney Editions

The first book I am excited about is A Kiss Goodnight.  I see that Disney Legends Richard Sherman and Floyd Norman have author credit. Sherman wrote the song and I am happy to see that Norman has illustrator credit for this book. What a great combination. The bonus is that there is a CD with a recording of the song by Ashley Brown. Brown originated the role of the Broadway production of Mary Poppins and she sang this song at Disneyland's 60th Diamond Anniversary event and fireworks show. The song was never released on any platform, Disney album or compilation so I am very happy to get this song on a CD.

Not only is the title of the book, A Kiss Goodnight, but the actual song has the same name. There is a direct Walt Disney connection to this phrase, "A Kiss Goodnight" that you can read about in one of my earlier post HERE

 Release date: Aug 22, 2017

Release date: Aug 22, 2017

The next book that is on my Disney book list is Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney's Animation by Mindy Johnson. Johnson was one of the contributing writers to Marc Davis: Walt Disney's Renaissance Man. The topic is one of great interest to me. I always hear talk about the INK & PAINT department during the Walt Disney Studios golden years. It will be a great read to learn about women who were a big part of making classic movies like Bambi, Pinocchio, and Sleeping Beauty. The women of Ink & Paint remind me about some "hidden figures" in Disney animated history.

 Release date: Sept 5, 2017

Release date: Sept 5, 2017

I love most things Disney but have a particular interest in Disney things associated with Disneyland, the Walt Disney Studios and overall Disney heritage or history. So these two books are definitely on my list. Disney books are one of those types of books that I enjoy in hardback copy. They are always filled with great photos and art.

Friday Find: Disney Magic Holiday (Cmas Lights at Lowe's)

The other day, Disney Fashionista (they are a great source for all things Disney products) posted information about some new Disney Christmas lights. I knew immediately that I needed some of them...okay most of them.

disneydaze.com

The DISNEY MAGIC HOLIDAY Christmas light collection is only available at Lowe's. It was really hard to decide which ones to get. I started to view what was available online and the ordered them for pick-up. I figured that this was the best way to make sure I got them. I figured that if I didn't like them, then I could return them. Here are the ones I decided on.

disneydaze.com
disneydaze.com

I shot a very quick video and posted HERE is you want to see the Mickey Mouse head projection light and also the firework projection light (below).

Front of box - Projection light

Front of box - Projection light

This firework projection light is kind of fun. I figured that I can use for parties or just when I feel like I need some Disney magic. You can adjust the projection size/image with distance. So, depending on how large or small you want the projections, you move it far or closer to wherever you want to project the image. There is also a fireworks sound with the firework projection machine. You can control the volume or simply turn in all the way down.

Back of Box - Projection Light

This Mickey Mouse Christmas pole is next on my list. I LOVE Christmas! I was married a week before Christmas. I am one of those people who love Christmas in July and happily starts holiday shopping. So when I saw these new Disney Christmas lights, it was an easy decisions.

The Disney Magic Holiday is only available at Lowe's. These will go fast. If you are thinking about them, run to your nearest Lowe's soon. Don't forget that you can order them online. You can also go online to see which Lowe's in your area have them in stock. If you definitely know that you want a particular set or light, you can order it for pick up, then go into the store and check out the entire collection (if they have them). I've tested the items I purchased and ran them for an evening and they will work great with my holiday decorations. A little Disney holiday magic is always a good thing.

Happy Holidays!

My Disney Books: Lovely: Ladies of Animation

I am going to start a new series today. I have a built up a collection of Disney related books. I have them for a variety of reasons that include learning about Disneyland history, Disney art, and just having some beautiful Disney hard copy books. I am going to call this new series, "MY DISNEY BOOKS," so I can share from my personal book collection.

disneydaze.com

Back in December last year, I was able to get to a book signing at Disneyland. I had been eyeing this book, Lovely: Ladies of Animation, and to have all the contributors there to sign a book was worth my trip.

The book's history is kind of interesting. It actually started off as a Kickstarter campaign in October 2013 (it had some really great pledge gifts). The ladies in this book are all talented artists with different styles. They have all contributed to Disney animation in some way. The book has a chapter featuring for each artist. Each artist shares some of her work as it relates to a word that may have inspired a particular art piece or gives insight behind some of the art work,

 Page featuring Brittney Lee

Page featuring Brittney Lee

 Page featuring Lorelay Bove

Page featuring Lorelay Bove

It's really a lovely book by some very lovely ladies of animation. You're probably seen some of their work in all kinds of Disney animation so now stop to appreciate the hands that created them. I like that the book gives a little insight into their personality through their art. It page-filled with beautiful drawings and paintings.

It was fun to meet each of the artists and ask them a question or two. It's always interesting to hear what mediums they prefer to work with and how much they do with a computer vs. hand drawing. They were kind enough to personalize my copy. It's kinda of a fun page to turn to.

 My personalized copy

My personalized copy

There is a Foreward by John Lasseter and Introduction by Glen Keane. In the back of the book, there is a short bio and contact info of each artist.

If you are looking for a book to add to your collection, a gift for a Disney fan, or to learn about some talented artists and view their work, pick up a copy of Lovely: Ladies of Animation by Design Studio Press

Happy reading!

Write this Way - Disney Letterhead

I love all kinds of stationary and that includes really fun letterhead. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, letterhead is defined as follows:

the name and address of an organization (such as a company) that is printed at the top of a piece of paper used for writing official letters; also : paper that has the name and address of an organization printed at the top

I usually go on eBay to see what kind of Disney type of stationary is out there. Over the years that the Walt Disney Company has been around, there has been letterhead for their movie productions, Park divisions, and other Disney events. Whenever there is name change for Disney divisions or logo updates, there is new letterhead. When I worked at Disneyland, I received variety of correspondence that included special letterhead to commemorate milestones like Park anniversaries.

Here's one example of Disneyland letterhead that was used in the 1990s. Remember that this time period is before the existence of Disney California Adventure.

circa 1990s - Classic Disneyland letterhead

Disneyland letterhead designed for 40th Anniversary, 1995

Disneyland letterhead designed for 40th Anniversary, 1995

 Disneyland Resort Letterhead design, 2001

Disneyland Resort Letterhead design, 2001

I recently discovered a retro pack of Disney letterhead compiled by the Walt Disney Archives that I purchased through Amazon. There are two different versions and each has 40 sheets of letterhead (5 each of 8 designs).

It is going to be fun to mail some of these out to my reproductions to my friends who are Disney fans. Getting some pretty snail mail these days is a plus. I posted another idea in this post about an idea of how to turn some of this Disney letterhead into a reusable memo board.

A couple years ago, I discovered this really great site called, Letters of Note. I liked it for not just some of the awesome post of correspondence from famous people but it really highlights the art to letter writing through decades. You can do a search on this site for "Disney" or "Walt Disney" and there are several blog posts related to specific Disney letters like this one and my one of favorites from Disney Legend Ward Kimball on Walt Disney Productions letterhead.

Take some time to write a note to a special someone and put it in the mail.

Have a magical day!

Shop Disney: Disney Parks Snowglobes

In the late 1990s, there was a huge selection of snow globes at Disneyland. I remember how popular they were by the amount of snow globes I rang up as a Main Street Merchandise Cast Member. There was a big variety of Disney themed snow globes that were available at both Disneyland and the Disney Stores, too. In the past several months, I have noticed some Disney snow globes popping up in the Disneyland stores.

The Disneyland Castle (Sleeping Beauty Castle) snow globe has a great decorative detail. It also plays "When You Wish Upon a Star."

There are also a couple of snow globes to commemorate the Disneyland 60th Celebration.

I found some smaller, plastic snow globes at the World of Disney store. These are geared more for kids and kind of remind you of the basic souvenir-style model.

There several different ones available online through the Disney Stores. The Bradford Exchange has some fun holiday and more Disney snow globes, too.  If you purchase a snow globe and have to travel, you can go HERE to find out about TSA guidelines when it comes to trying to get your Disney snow globe home:

Snow globes that appear to contain less than 3.4 ounces of liquid (approximately tennis ball size) can be packed in your carry-on bag ONLY if the entire snow globe, including the base, is able to fit into your one quart-sized, resealable plastic bag. Each passenger can only bring one quart-sized bag with 3.4oz or smaller containers. Larger snowglobes must be packed in checked baggage.
Even if an item is generally permitted, it may be subject to additional screening or not allowed through the checkpoint if it triggers an alarm during the screening process, appears to have been tampered with, or poses other security concerns. The final decision rests with TSA on whether to allow any items on the plane.

Snow globes are a fun way to remember your Disneyland trip and to always think of fond Disney memories. They make great gifts for any Disney fan.

Shop Disney: Disney Buttons from #parkbound

One of the many things you see when you visit any Disney Park are buttons people wear on their clothes to celebrate a special occasion. Anyone can get a complimentary button to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, 1st Visit and graduation, too. These Disney Celebration Buttons are a fun souvenir and keepsake.

Recently, I discovered an independant source for some pretty fun Disney-themed buttons. The offerings are plenty. They change around the inventory often and try to offer buttons that are current to the season or what may be popular in terms of current Disney movies or events.

#parkbound is not affiliated with Disney. They also offer custom buttons. The quality is great and shipping time is quick. There are many pop culture references in their product selections which makes them fun. They also create some buttons to celebrate more current Disney Park events like Disneyland's Paint the Night parade. They even offered button to commemorate the final Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios.

Here some of the new buttons that I just purchased. My kids and I don't usually wear our Disney pins/lanyard when we visit Disneyland but it's kinds of fun to wear special button on your jacket. We like to accessorize our outfits with something Disney.

 Buttons purchased from #parkbound

They design and feel is just like the Disney Parks buttons that you might see someone wearing. They are great conversation pieces when you are standing in line. They are simply fun to have.

So go check out #parkbound. They run $3.00 a button. They would be fun gifts for birthdays, Valentine's treats and Easter baskets. If you have a Disney trip coming up soon, order some to accessorize your wardrobe. These buttons are definitely a great way to show your particular Disney side.

Behind the Store: Off the Page at Disney California Adventure

Welcome to a new series that I am going to call "BEHIND THE STORE." It will be about some of my favorites store locations inside Disneyland and Disney California Adventures. Imagineers and merchandise teams put a lot of time and thought into naming a store location and coming up with its story.

One of my favorite stores to visit at Disney California Adventure is Off the Page. You can't miss the store as you walk down Hollywood Land.

disneydaze.com

There is a way to enjoy this location and appreciate its name. Start by walking over to the sketch artist areas. There are two in the store and most of times you will find a sketch artist at one or both locations.

disneydaze.com

See how it looks like there is artist paper flying off the desks and floating up to the ceiling? Now continue to looks at the sketches and you will notice that some of the "pages" begin to have color. If you keep following the images towards the front of the store, you will notice that the drawn characters begin to look like they are ready to leap off the page

After you follow all the "pages" towards the front of the store, exit out of the store and it is now suppose to look like the drawn Disney characters have literally leapt off the page.

disneydaze.com

Drawing Dumbo takes a lot of paper and it looks like the sketch artist had to do it outside of the store. However, it looks like even Dumbo found his way "off the page".

disneydaze.com

A side note: you can also enter this store  by way of the Animation Academy

disneydaze.com

One of the reasons I really enjoy going into this store is not just for its charming story, but it is a gallery of beautiful Disney art, sculptures, jewelry, trading pins, books and more. The selections are always changing so you never know what you'll come upon. There is also an artist available to sketch your favorite characters so you can take a piece of art home (for a premium).

So next time you are at Disney California Adventure, make sure to stop by this fun store and see which characters had jumped Off the Page.

This "Partners" ornament is probably one of new favorites. I couldn't find a "Storytellers" one and most of the Cast Members that were in the store were not sure if one existed since this was so new.

There is a Disney Christmas ornament out there for every Disney fan. They make great gifts (hostess gift, exchange, or Secret Santa). I always pick up Christmas ornaments when we go on vacation because they are awesome souvenirs to remember special moments or memories. It's always fun to pick up one, two, or more new Christmas ornaments to add to your tree.

Shop Disney: Marvel Tees by Red Chapter at Disneyland

I saw these new Marvel shirts in Tomorrowland. It is by a company called Red Chapter. The tag reads "ONE OF A KIND REVERSIBLE CLOTHING." I asked a couple Cast Members about it but they didn't know what it meant.

disneydaze.com

I had to look up the company, Red Chapter, to figure out the what the label was all about.

After watching this video by Red Chapter, it all made sense to me. Got it..AMBIGRAM t-shirts. The t-shirt designs are actually pretty cool when you figure it out. It was also great to learn that Red Chapter is a local company based in Los Angeles.

disneydaze.com

These Marvel tees by Red Chapter are available at D-Street at Downtown Disney and in Tomorrowland. I also noticed that you can directly purchase these online from Red Chapter. They have the entire collection available in both mens and ladies designs and sizes. Perfect timing for those Marvel fans on your holiday shopping list.

Stylish Mickey Mouse Totes & Disney Boutique Collection

It's been so hot in Southern California this week with temps well over 100 degrees the last several days. It feels like the fall season forgot about us. In this heat, I spend a lot of time visiting the stores around the Park. I was at the World of Disney the other day and came upon these really fun tote bags. They are super stylish.

disneydaze.com

I had to do a double take and figure out that this was a tote bag. It's got a faux leather look and the straps are shoelaces that are made to look like they belong to the tennis shoes on the front of the bag.

There is a collection called "Disney Boutique" which is a fashion collection designed specifically for Disney Parks.

Here were more of the stylish totes and other products from this merchandise line. This is the offerings at Disneyland that I found located at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney.

disneydaze.com

I noticed that there were new Disney Collection by Vera Bradley available. The first is called "Mickey Meets Birdie" and the solid colors is called "Preppy Poly".

New Disneyland 60th Building = A Christmas Village Addition

It's never too early to think about Christmas...decorations. Half the fun for my family is decorating for the holidays. So when I saw this new decorative building at Disneyland yesterday, I knew exactly what I want to do with it.

disneydaze.com

We've had a Christmas village, "Sparksville," since my kids were small. We've added many pieces to it throughout the years. It's not a specific collection from one brand or company. We have buildings that represent a story, a family moment, or maybe a hobby. It's pretty large and usually takes up the entire studio table that sits in our living room.

My husband and our two kids are mainly responsible for putting it together. Since the kids have gotten older, they have become very active participants when it comes time to set up. They love to reconfigure Sparkville every year centered around their favorite buildings and figures. There are so many memories and moments that are shared when this Christmas decorating tradition begins.

Here is a photo of a small corner of our Christmas village. You can see that we already have some Disney items

 Sparks Christmas village 2013

Sparks Christmas village 2013

So I think that I need this new Disneyland 60th building and maybe create something different this year. I noticed that it lights up and the size will work for Sparksville. The Castle is pretty is the silver and blue Disneyland Diamond motif.

disneydaze.com
disneydaze.com

In 1994, Department 56 released a Disney Parks series of Disney Christmas buildings and figures. This particular series was retired in 1996. You can do a search on eBay and see some offered at some really good deals. I have the Disneyland Emporium (not Dept 56) and Firehouse so this new Disneyland 60th castle would be a perfect addition to our Christmas village.

Dept 56 Disneyland Firehouse and Disneyland Emporium (not Dept 56). Disney Parks figures of Mickey & Minnie with Disney Parks family (Dept 56)

Dept 56 Disneyland Firehouse and Disneyland Emporium (not Dept 56). Disney Parks figures of Mickey & Minnie with Disney Parks family (Dept 56)

disneydaze.com

The Disneyland 60th castle is a premium decoration with a steep price tag. It's pretty equivalent to what collectible Department 56 Christmas village houses usually go for. I might have to re-think and convince my family to go all out and do a Disneyland 60th Christmas village or I might have to create a special corner display.

There are less than 80 days until Christmas!

This is the Star Wars Doodle book you've been looking for

While at Disneyland the other day, I made my way to The Star Trader, the big store in Tomorrowland. Currently, they have the largest selections of Star Wars merchandise in the Park in addition to the Star Tours items. I picked up this fun Star Wars Doodle book.

 Front cover.

The doodle book is filled with some interesting pages. If you are planning a Star Wars party or gathering, I think it would fun to photo copy some of the pages and distribute to your guests. Pass out the same doodle and see what each person would come up with. You don't to know how to draw or be an artist, just doodle lines and shapes. It would be a fun activity for a group of Star Wars fans.

What would a Disneyland Diamond Gala dinner look like?

disneydaze.com

One of the things I enjoy about my time at Disneyland is walking around to enjoy the store window displays. Most get changed out seasonally so it is fun to see what's in these windows. I love the current display at The Disney Showcase which highlights the Disneyland 60h Celebration. What if there was a fun and fancy Diamond Gala hosted by Mickey and Minnie? What if this is what the table setting and menus would look like?

disneydaze.com
disneydaze.com

I love these Diamond Celebration plates that are part of the 'Castle Collection'. They are classy. You can purchase them separately so if you just wanted the dessert plates or the bowls, you can do that. Or you can pace your purchase if you wanted a couple place setting.  If you wanted to use the larger plate like a charger, that would be very cool. My favorite thing about these home decor items is that they nest together to create a pretty place setting.

This store usually changes out to "showcase" the current Disneyland specific park merchandise line, seasonal offerings, and limited merchandise. Currently, you can find most of the Diamond Celebration Merchandise at this particular location. It's a great place to get a Diamond Celebration Christmas ornament to remember your visit this year. There is a huge variety of 60th merchandise for every age and every kind of preference.

How about a Diamond Celebration tiara? Even for not being real diamonds it is a premium purchase. It would be fun for a big milestone celebration for a very special person.

Recently Disney Parks officially announced that the Diamond Celebration at Disneyland will continue until September 5, 2016. So you'll have almost another year to make your list and get to Disneyland and visit Disney Showcase.

Customized Disney Smart Phone Cases Available at D Street

D-Tech on Demand made its debut over at D Street at Downtown Disney (Disneyland). I was able to check out the kiosk and set-up. There are so many choices for both iPhones and select Android phones, too.

disneydaze.com

D Street at Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort will offer cases for the following phones – iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6/6+ as well as Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung Galaxy 4, Samsung Galaxy 5 and Samsung Galaxy 6. (Disney Parks Blog)

There are about half a dozen kiosks available. It was pretty easy to navigate. There is not a search function so you will spend more time scrolling through the many, many choices.

You can choose to personalize your case or not. There are 5 icons on the top right that serve as themed categories to help you narrow you search.

  • The MICKEY/MINNIE HEADS represent case choices related to Disney characters.
  • The CASTLE has choices that are associated with Disney Parks like the Diamond Celebration artwork and attractions (eg. Haunted Mansion).
  • The MOVIE CLAPBOARD gives you Disney films. My daughter was disappointed that there were no Princess and the Frog items.
  • The STAR icon offers choices related to Disney Vacation Club (DVC).
  • The PAINT BRUSH has select artists that are featured at the WonderGround Gallery

It only takes about 15 minutes. The Cast Member there also let me know that they will continually add to the offerings, especially the WonderGround artist items.

disneydaze.com

There are many pre-packaged Disney-themed smart phone cases available at several Disney Parks stores other than D-Street. D-Tech on Demand is available to give you many more choices for your smart phone. Don't limit your personalization to just a given name, too. It would be fun to have a Disney-themed case with your blog name, website, nickname or company name on it, too.

Shop Disney: Star Wars Merch available at Disneyland

What happens when you have Disney in charge of the world of Star Wars that include Star Wars merchandise? You get a huge merchandise marketing campaign that began September 4th, 2015 that was dubbed Force Friday. Many participating brick and mortar retailers (Toys R Us, Target, DisneyParks) had midnight events, special freebies (Disney Stores), and plenty of new merchandise. Online retailers like Amazon also got into Force Friday. It was like Black Friday + Christmas all rolled into one day for many Star Wars fans.

I happened to be at Disneyland yesterday and decided to check out what kind of Star Wars merchandise was available. There was a midnight event at the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. Although these displays look full, they apparently had a huge run on new light sabers, die cast cars and figures. New Star Wars toys is always a good thing.

The BB8 app controlled toy made by Sphero was definitely the big fan favorite. Those were easily gone by mid-afteroon. These are several of the toys that I also found interesting.

There were lots of new hats and apparel are readily available throughout select stores. A lot of these are Disney Parks exclusives so you'll only find it at one of the many Disneyland Parks. There are many different designs that will declare your loyalty to either the Dark Side or the Rebels. There are different designs for adults and children.

There was also some Star Wars jewelry and Stroomtrooper piggy bank so you can save money to buy more Star Wars merch.

There is actually some comic book and a book series that is available. Finally, there is a soft plush-like BB8 that would be perfect as a decorative piece on your bed. There was a small version, too. Either way, you could tell that BB8 is the new star.

disneydaze.com

There were special and open edition Star Wars pins available, too. A lot of those were gone very early.  I did buy some things that I thought my Star Wars fans (MacSparky and daughter #2) would enjoy. I am sure there is more that will come out before the big movie release in December.

Walking around both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure proved that the Force was strong. The Star Wars merch is definitely competing for space and dollars against the Frozen (Anna & Elsa) product line. I am sure they can live together since they are both part of the huge Disney family.

Happy Shopping!

Shop Disney: What is Disney Parks Merchandise & Where to Buy it

Disney merchandise is everywhere! You can even go to your local grocery store and find Disney plastic plates, cups, and more. But if you love visiting Disney Parks (Disneyland or Walt Disney World) and want a piece of it, there are specific places to find Disney merchandise that is made specifically for the Disney Parks.

NOTE: Disney Parks Merchandise is "stuff" that has been produced to be sold specifically at these designated Disney Parks locations: Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. They have the DISNEY PARKS logo on the item, too. The logo could be on the clothing tag, price tag, or on the package. That's when you know that the item was specifically produced for and to be sold at one of the Disney parks mentioned before.

Here are the places you can purchase Disney Parks Merchandise

1. The actual Disney Parks - Disneyland and Walt Disney Resorts

mad hatter.jpg

Of course the best place to be able to touch, feel, and purchase Disney Parks merchandise is when you are able to physically visit one of the Disney Parks. There is a variety of location and park specific available. It's more than your average souvenir item. You also have memories and and experience associated with the particular Disney Parks product that you buy. For example, when you are at Disneyland and get to go to The Mad Hatter to pick out and personalize you own Mickey Mouse ears, you can't get that experience or moment when ordering online.

2. DisneyStore.com (Online shopping)

The Disney Store online has much more and different product offering from their physical store locations. When you shop Disney Store.com, they have a special section called DISNEY PARKS where you can browse and purchase the same merchandise that is sold inside the Disney Parks. It is a select offering but nonetheless, you can have a piece of Disney Parks without having to visit an actual Disney Park. They even have a generous selection of Disneyland Diamond Celebration merchandise available. So if you can't visit Disneyland during it's big 60th Celebration, you can still buy some of the 60th logo items from DisneyStore.com. You can also purchase special Disney collaborations like Vera Bradley, Alex & Ani and Pandora directly from DisneyStore.com

disneydaze.com

3. Shop Disney Parks APP (New)

This is the newest option available for Disney Park fans. Disney released a new APP called, Shop Disney Parks. It's description reads as follows:

Shop for authentic Walt Disney World Resort merchandise with the Shop Disney Parks app! Browse thousands of gifts, accessories, collectibles and more, many of which have never before been sold outside of Disney Parks and Resorts

NOTE: The app is not even a month old so I will have a more extensive review after I've had a chance to play with it and order through the app, too.

One of the things about this particular app is that you can link your ID to either your Annual Pass or DVC membership so that you discount can apply.  I am entertained by the categories that you can browse through. If you see an item you are interested in, you can find out if you order it online, find it in a particular store, and see if it is available. Some items are only available at the physical location.

So this mobile app really should be called "Shop Walt Disney World Parks". It's really geared for the merchandise offerings at the Walt Disney World Parks (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studio). So if you've ever wanted purchase merchandise from the Florida Disney Parks, this is the place for you. You are supposed to be able to scan an item and be able to purchase it from your mobile device (I think that function is coming). You can look up an item and find out which Walt Disney Parks location has it.

4. Contact Merchandise Guest Services

If you forgot something or changed your mind about something you regretted not buying when you were at a Disney Park, you can always try to contact Merchandise Guest Services. The more information you have about the item you are looking for (what store you saw it in or the SKU number), the better that they can help you. The Merchandise Guest Service team is pretty helpful and can assist with your purchase of select items at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and even at the Aulani (the Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai`i).
