Music Mondays: A Rather Blustery Day

The Santa Ana winds were pretty fierce yesterday and it is supposed to continue today in the area where I live. It is very loud and the winds can really rattle my house. Venturing outside in this weather reminded me of Winnie the Pooh and The Blustery Day.

A Rather Blustery Day was composed by Robert and Richard Sherman in 1968 for the animated featurette. The famous, soft-spoken bear is known for being optimistic in the face of obstacles. Winnie the Pooh starts to sing this song as he begins his outdoor adventures during a windy day:

Hum, dum, dum, dee, dee, dum
Hum, dum, dum
Oh the wind is lashing lusterly
And the trees are thrashing thrusterly
And the leaves are rustling gusterly
So it's rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today
It seems that it may turn out to be
Feels that it will undoubteadly
Looks like a rather blustery day today

Seems like everyone is experiencing some kind of seasonal weather. I'm going to channel my inner Winnie the Pooh and not let this "blustery weather" stop me from going outside to enjoy some fun today.

Happy Music Monday!
