12 Days of Disney Christmas: Day 9 (Disney Figurines)

Disney Figurines

Nine days into December! How did that happen? Today I wanted to share two of our oldest Disney decorations: Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Christmas Carolers. I love their vintage and classic colored outfits.

One of the reasons my husband and I are crazy for Christmas is that we got married one week before Christmas. I bought these two animated Disney Carolers 22 years ago as part of our wedding reception decorations. At that time, I was still working at Disneyland so there were some Disney touches.

These Mickey and Minnie Christmas carolers are animated. Their arms slowly move back and forth. The candle that Minnie holds and the lantern in Mickey's hand light up. There is a button for music, too. When you press it, it plays "Winter Wonderland." When my kids were young, they loved seeing this as part of our Christmas decorations. I still get pleasure getting them out of their boxes every year. When I look at them, I can enjoy many Christmas memories in my heart.

My mother-in-law gave this beautifully detailed Wonderful World of Disney Christmas Tree to my kids when they were young. They were enthralled by all the the characters and movement on this tabletop decoration. There are many details to take in.

The good news, you can have one of your own to enjoy. This Wonderful World of Disney Christmas Tree is still available over at the Bradford Exchange

Next up are two more figurines I have. They are small but lots of character. This Donald and Daisy Duck figurine is designed by Jim Shore. It is called 'Donald and Daisy, Mistletoe Moment.' It's special to me because my husband bought several years ago as an anniversary present. I love all the detail and colors on this piece.

Finally, here is probably my smallest Disney Christmas figurine. Who can't love Santa Goofy.

Here's another view so you can see more details. I really like the way "SANTA" is carved on his chair. Look at that mischievous face on Donald's nephew. Oh Goofy! So gullible.

Hope all is merry & bright!
