Music Monday: Why Should I Worry (Oliver & Company)

Sorry I was away last week. My daughter and I took a trip back east and had a fun adventure in New York City. My trip made me think of the 27th Disney animated movie , Oliver and Company, (1988) which is set in New York. It was inspired by the Charles Dickens story, Oliver Twist

The most famous song in the movie is "Why Should I Worry?" It was written by Dan Hartman and Charlie Midnight. The song received a Golden Globe Nomination. It is sung by Billy Joel, who provides the voice to the character of "Dodger" who is a Jack Russell Terrier that befriends the title character, Oliver. Dodger considers himself to have "street-savior-faire" to get around and survive in the streets of New York City.  "Why Should I Worry" is Dodger's mantra that he shares with young Oliver.

It's a fun upbeat song. It wouldn't be a bad idea to channel some of Dodger's attitude to get through some tough days. Don't sweat the small stuff, right?

Happy Music Monday!
